Advertising disclosure

We believe you should know exactly how this guide makes money, because that affects how much you can trust it.

The short version

Basic profiles are free and editorial. Companies may pay for an enhanced profile or a clearly-labeled sponsored placement, or to receive contact requests. Payment never buys a ranking or a recommendation.

How profiles can be funded

  • Free editorial profiles. Most listings are free. We may add a company because it’s relevant to LA homeowners, with no payment involved.
  • Enhanced profiles (paid). A company may pay to expand its profile with more detail or media. The description stays factual and is labeled "Enhanced."
  • Sponsored placements (paid). A company may pay to appear in a promoted slot. These are always labeled "Sponsored."
  • Contact requests / leads (paid). A company may pay to receive contact requests sent through the site.

What payment does not do

  • It does not buy a ranking — we don’t rank companies at all.
  • It does not buy a recommendation or a better editorial description.
  • It does not change the factual details we show, or hide a company’s limitations.
  • It does not imply a paid company is better than a free one.

Labeling

Sponsored and enhanced items carry a visible label wherever they appear — on cards, tables, and profiles — not buried in the footer. If you ever see a paid placement that isn’t clearly labeled, please tell us.

Affiliate & outbound links

Links to company websites are provided for your convenience and may use a tracking parameter so a company can see a referral came from this guide. We do not present any company as a "winner."

This disclosure works alongside our methodology. Company details throughout the site are compiled from public sources and are not independently verified.
